TOWNSON FITNESS is a privately owned personal training studio, located in Guildwood Village, Ontario. We specialize in fat loss, muscle building, strength training, powerlifting, general fitness, and sport specific training.

Matthew Townson is a former "AAA" hockey player who began training after sustaining a serious injury. The injury inspired him to find ways of training that would help him recover and come back stronger than before. After several years of researching and educating himself on the proper ways of training, he began coaching in 2009.
In 2012, Matthew interned at Laylor Performance Systems, where he assisted in the training of corporate executives and professional athletes such as P.K. Subban, Malcolm Subban, and Joel Ward, amongst others. He was able to learn from one of the best Strength Coaches in the world and applies that knowledge towards his own clients today. Since officially opening Townson Fitness in 2013, Matthew has had the pleasure of working with many clients ranging over a broad spectrum of different backgrounds. Rachel Younker has been strength training at Townson Fitness since 2014. At the beginning of 2016 she became a Certified Personal Trainer, and has since been working alongside Coach Matthew. Her dedication to training, nutrition, and the success of both her teammates and clients is truly inspiring. Regardless of your fitness goals, Rachel's extensive knowledge and methods will help you achieve success!
